It's that time again...
It's November. You know what that means?
It's time for me to again say that I'm going to do Nanowrimo.
And for me to get about halfway through (if I'm lucky) and give up, because that's what I always do.
BUT
This year I'm already ahead. By noon today, I already had more words than I needed for the day. And I kind of feel like I might have another thousand or so in me today. And it's the weekend, so I'm hoping I can get a ways ahead. Something is different with my inner censor. She seems to have gone on vacation, so I'm just typing a whole lot of stuff that kind of applies, and not worrying about how good it is. That's what Nano's supposed to be about, but I've never been able to do that before.
So this year, might just be the year, when I actually get more than halfway finished!
How's that for a goal?!?

It's November - you know what that means
It's NaNoWriMo again.
And due to unforeseen events in my RL I was unable (read: unwilling, uninspired) to start until today. And I started slow. But in the last hour or so, I've made up some words and am actually on a decent pace.
I have a few ideas floating around in my head, and I'm hoping that something coherent comes out of them. I'm trying my best not to censor stuff, because that seems to be my biggest problem. I write and then erase bits, and that affects my word count. And also my writing flow. So maybe, if I can be a little more stream of consciousness this year, I can actually finish the month with a win in the NoMo column this year.
And clearly, I'm not having any problems with words today, because I'm rambling on here as well.
We'll see if by the end of the month I end up with anything useful in my Word file.

It's Friday, Friday...
Thank Goodness it's Friday is not just a cliched phrase, it's a mantra where I work.
I know, there's a lot of people that can say that. I'm not alone. But it's okay, everyone's allowed to vent.
And this week wasn't really that bad. The boss will be on vacation next week, and I'm on vacation after that (with a friend's wedding coming up too) so it's all good. There's lots of chances to relax.
Tomorrow I'm going to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 (again - for the 5th time) at the Imax before it's gone from the theatre. That's exciting. And since we're going to be in the States anyway, maybe we'll stop and I can buy some real Hershey's chocolate (the Canadian kind just isn't as good) and if I'm REALLY lucky, maybe some Cherry Coke, since they don't make it here anymore.
That would make for a really good day. And I'm doing it all with a good friend, and my mom.
Simple things are fab!
